SacolinhaList (the "App") is committed to maintaining privacy protections for its users. The App is offered by HERON SANCHES GONCALVES PIRES FERREIRA. Our Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using SacolinhaList.
For purposes of this Agreement, "App" refers to the SacolinhaList Android application, which is available on Google Play at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hsgpf.sacolinhalist. The terms "we," "us," and "our" refer to the App owner. "You" refers to you, as a user of our App. By accessing our App, you accept our Privacy Policy, and you consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.
I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect "Non-Personal Information" and "Personal Information".
It includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect and App functionality access.
It includes information that can identify you, for example, your public Google account information: email address, name, and profile photo, that you consent to share with the App when it's needed by some functionality.
To use the App, you don't need to share Personal Information other than your public Google account information. And we only use that when needed by some App functionality, like the "share list functionality", the "backup functionality", the "Sign in functionality", and the "restore functionality". However, to improve the quality of the App, we track App functionality access and other information that doesn't personally identify you. We track that information using Google Analytics.
II. HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATION
Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Information with third parties without your consent. The public Google account information is the unique Personal Information the App uses. The App uses that information in the following functionalities:
When sharing a list, you agree that other users (who are in this list) can see your public Google account information: email address, profile photo, and name.
When sharing a list, your public Google account information is stored encrypted in a remote database (outside the App).
The App uses your email address to show you it's related to the Google Drive Hidden App Folder (the folder that will store your backup).
The App uses your email address to show you it's related to the Google Drive Hidden App Folder (the folder used to restore from).
This information is stored in the Google Firebase Authentication service, and we can access that information. We can see your email, the time you first signed in, and the last time you signed in.
In general, we use Non-Personal Information to help us improve the App and customize the user experience. The other data kind is regarding App functionalities.
The Backup Functionality uses your Google Drive to save a backup of your App data. This backup occurs only if you access this functionality through the App, it doesn’t do automatically. The data is stored at a hidden special folder, dedicated only for the App, and only the App has access to. The app does not have access to another folder besides the hidden App folder. You can anytime delete the data associated with our App or revoke access to this hidden folder through your Google Drive settings interface. The App only maintains one backup file, the last one. So if you already have done a backup and want to do another, only the last one will be keeped on the hidden Google Drive folder. Because the App uses your Google Drive to store the backup, take in mind that it will use your Google Drive space quota.
The Restore Functionality accesses the App hidden folder on your Google Drive to get the last backup, and then restore it on App.
The Share list functionality stores information related to the list being shared in a remote database. Like the item and item details information, as well details regarding the list, for example, the list name.
We also aggregate Non-Personal Information in order to track trends and analyze use patterns on the App. This Privacy Policy does not limit in any way our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information and we reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our partners, advertisers and other third parties at our discretion. In the event we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and that any acquirer of our assets may continue to process your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
III. HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION
The App stores information locally and in remote services. The information stored locally is restricted to the App according to the Android Operational System design. Neither the user nor another application installed on your device can access this information. This kind of information can only be accessed by some App functionality.
When the App needs to store information in remote services, for example, when using the backup or restore functionality, the App uses services like Google Drive API, which implements security protocols over the data, and user authentication. So, when the App needs to send or retrieve data through these services, it's protected by the security protocols and user authentication of those services.
The App also stores information in a Google remote database when the user shares a list. It can only be accessed by us or by the App. That information is protected by authentication and specific rules over the data. Also, your personal information is stored encrypted. Besides, information like list names and list items are also encrypted.
Although Android Operational System design implements security strategies that prevent third applications and the own user from accessing the data App, these measures don't guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by some security breach, it's valid too to the services that the App uses. By using our App, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.
IV. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
As part of the App, we may provide links to or compatibility with other websites or applications. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through the App. Therefore, this Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of a third party website accessed by selecting a link on our App. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of other websites before proceeding to use them.
V. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
The App owner reserves the right to change this policy and our Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes to our Privacy Policy by sending a notification to the App. Significant changes will go into effect 30 days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. You should periodically check this privacy page for updates.
